Custom domains on Unstack

Note: this page is a work in progress.

This article will show you how to add CNAME records to your domain registrar in order to point a custom domain to Unstack . Going through this will ensure you can add your full website (www.yourwebsite.com) to Unstack for use as a custom domain.

Godaddy DNS configuration

If you have a domain registered in GoDaddy and want to use that domain in Unstack, this will teach you how. Before you get started you will need to have the following:

Step 1: Adding your CNAME records to Godaddy

  • Sign into your GoDaddy Account
  • Select your Domain's DNS settings
  • Add the two CNAME records provided to you in your Unstack settings
  • If a CNAME with the name WWW exists, edit the target to match the Unstack provided WWW record.
  • If it does not yet exist, click add at the bottom right
  • Select CNAME.
  • Enter WWW into the Name input
  • Enter the target to match the Unstack provided WWW record
  • Lastly, add the domain validation record. This will confirm you are the owner of your domain
