Developing a Product-Led Growth Strategy

by Carter Deken in May 26th, 2021

This week, VP of Sales and Marketing Zach Rego talks with Ramli John, Marketing Director of ProductLed and author of "Eureka" about developing a Product Led Growth Strategy. You can listen on  Apple or Spotify now.

Before becoming an expert in product led growth, Ramli studied computer science in college, and became a developer for five years. Ramli really wanted to start a start-up business, so after a couple of ideas, including a hilarious and interesting idea "DeadBook" (FaceBook, but for dead people), he and his partner decided that they needed to pivot to a less depressing idea, where they decided to create a digital workspace for baby scrapbooking.

Ramli noticed that a huge gap in his skillset was Marketing, he decided to start reading and blogging to learn more about it. Through his blog he was introduced to lead start-up's and content marketing which he did for five years consulting creating ads and campaigns.

Ramli was bringing in so many customers, which was great! However, he came to the realization that many of the customer's he was bringing in on free trials weren't sticking around for more than one to two months after signing up. He was trying to fix the problem for this client, but was told it wasn't his job to fix it, he really wanted to be in a position where he could.

After searching on Google, he found and connected with Wes Bush and ProductLed and started the "Product-Led Podcast".

Check out Ramli's book's "Product-Led Growth" and "Product-Led Onboarding", as well as his new book "Eureka" coming to Amazon on May 25th, 2021.
