Searching for images and icons in Spark

Spark has integrated with leading providers of stock photography and icons to make it even easier for you to build content. In this article we will walk through how to use these.

Unsplash

You can search Unsplash for more than 400,000 high quality royalty free images, click the one you want, and instantly add it into your Spark content.

Unsplash content is available for background images, media sections, and blog posts. When your media drawer opens from the right hand side, look just build the upload box for a search input that says "search unsplash".

Once you find that, search for a keyword and we will return the top results directly in the sidebar for you to review. Once you've found an image you like, click it and Spark will save a copy directly to your media library and insert it to your content.

Beyond being very easy and convenient, Spark also optimizes these images for performance to make sure your site continues to run as fast as possible.

If you're using this feature for background images, you may want to use different background positioning settings to get your image looking just right.

Icons by Icons8

Icons help connect features and ideas with some visual. They can have a dramatic effect on the look and feel of your content. You can search more than 100,000 icons when using the "call out" section in Spark.

It works just like Unsplash. Click on the empty callout image to open the media library. Look for these search input for Icons8, type in your keyword and hit enter. We will return the top matches based on your keyword (try different keywords to find the best icons).

Once you find the right icon, click on it to save a copy into your library and the icon will instantly show up in your content!
